For those who gave something up for Lent, how is it going?

I gave up the scale. I put it away so that I'm not tempted but I'm a little nervous to weigh in again on March 23rd. I'm hoping to be down. The closer it gets, the more tempting it will be to find out!

I've been trying to give up unhealthy food and eat better as a whole. So far, it's going pretty well. I did have a few stressful days in a row where I sort of fell off the wagon, and went back to my old ways of emotional eating. But, tomorrow morning I'm getting up bright and early and exercising again and putting myself right back on the healthy food schedule.

I've been totally off because everybody got sick and I've focused on them for over a week. That also meant the tv was constantly on to entertain ds between vomit episodes.
I'm planning on getting it together as this week closes for the rest of lent.

I was doing the tracking what I eat and in doing so eat more healthy food but for me I just was floundering without clear guidelines. I need rules so I know when I at breaking them. But after watching Oprah I decided to take Dr Oz advice and go a step farther and cut out all pop but instead of 2 weeks I will do the 40 days.

We are doing great so far! We gave up fast food and we haven't even had one little french fry yet! I am very proud of us. There have been several times that I have wanted to just drive through Chick fil A to get a quick dinner (usually after ds's Friday evening basketball games when we don't get home until 7:30 or so) but we have fought the urge. I really feel like I can't mess this up since it was my son's idea. It would set a very bad example. We have gone out to eat as much as we normally do, but we have gotten creative and gone to places where we can sit down and get healthier food. It has been a very positive thing for all of us.

I'm doing good - gave up ice cream (such a weakness here) and it is going GREAT. As long as it is not in my house I'm good!

I gave up desserts and am struggling. I find myself justifying that if I don't eat something sweet after a meal, it's not really considered dessert, it's a snack.

I probably should have been more specific!
