Thanks for your concern. He had a couple of little things that we knew would need to be fixed surgically "someday", but someday can sooner than we thought. He has a severe doctor phobia, so this week he has been pretty upset at any mention of the word "doctor". It's been a tough week -the waiting is always the worst part. He was pretty upset this AM at the hospital, but he got a pre-op sedative so he was out enough to go with the nurses into the surgery area without too much trouble (although they took him in fully clothed since even sedated he became hysterical if we tried to undress him).
The recovery room was hard, too- he was screaming nonstop, trying to rip out his IV and gave himself a black eye thrashing around. But we made it through. I think it will be an early night for all of us!
