What is your favorite book in this "genre"? If there was one book that you felt everyone should read, what would it be?

My choice would be Discerning the Voice of God (other than the Bible). What is yours?

there are some missionary books that I have read. One of them is God Smuggler, great book on how this man got bibles beyond the iron curtain and eventually in china.

There's a book I got quite a few years ago, called "Irregular People". It helps you to deal with people close to you who treat you badly. I read it several times, and it helped me accept my rude, verbally abusive, argumentative, illogical, embarrassing father-in-law. It's about loving people who aren't very lovable, by seeing them through God's eyes. It taught me to see the man as having a disability that causes him to act that way. I wouldn't expect someone in a wheelchair to get up and walk, so I shouldn't expect my FIL to act normally - he's not capable.

Gosh, there are so many. Well, if I have to pick the one book that is a must read, it is the Bible, but I know you meant other than that. I really like Max Lucado. I have read a few of his books.

Oh yeah!!! I loved it! I was in an online book discussion and many of the discussions got quite heated. It has certainly challenged many peoples' doctrines. Quite controversial. It is at the top of my favorite fiction list though. If you are interested, PM me and I will give you a heads up about some of the controversy.
