And, if it does, would you mind sharing it?

I was reading a magazine tonight and they popped this question. I'm not sure if I can answer that and wondered if anyone else had an answer.

Definitely!!!! I can't really say that there is one purpose, but I know that I have made a difference in alot of people's lives!!! I have worked alot of jobs where I have no doubt people have been better because of my work. I taught in a daycare for alot of years. I cared for many, many babies. I loved them and watched them grow. I was a toddler teacher and daycare director also. I loved helping to shape them, and teaching them and watching their little personalities expand. I also worked in nursing homes caring for the elderly for years. Many of those people have no regular visitors and I am proud to say I listened to them, hugged them and cared for them while allowing them to keep their dignity and pride. I helped elderly and disabled by cleaning their homes and shopping for them. They were all so appreciative. I worked with severely developmentally disabled adults. I cared for them and gave them the best care I could. So many people are afraid of these adults, but they deserve are love and respect also. Now, I work in early childhood special education. These children are challenging, but oh so rewarding. I know that I am enhancing their lives and helping their parents.

Now on to the next part of my purpose. I was made to love my dh and provide companionship throughout our lifetimes. Together we were supposed to have 7 wonderful (most the time ) children who will grow up to serve society in their own way. I also feel we were supposed to give a little discipline and stability in my grandson's life.

I definitly don't have a simple purpose in life, but I know I have a purpose and I love it!!!

Absolutely! I think our calling changes as we are obedient and complete what we were called to. I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that I was born to be a teacher for at least a "season". I also know I have a purpose in adoption. We have been on that journey for about 5 years and I know it is just the beginning. (Anyone wondering about it, feel free to PM me...its one of those messages I love to share.)
One call that won't be a "season" is the call to be a wife and mother. I have loved the wife part and am so excited about the mother part.

The first thing that comes to mind is to take care of my family.

Being a mother to my children. I wasn't very "mothered" by my mom, in fact, not at all. And also to stop the alcoholic, dysfunctional family that I was raised in. If my sisters don't have kids, then I will be the stop to all of that continuous pattern.

This is what I feel is my purpose.

My family right now consists of my daughter, my cat and me (and hopefully someday my so as well). When it comes down to it, whenever I'm depressed, I always remind myself of my daughter who loves and needs me. She is the best thing I have ever done in my life and I guess I feel my purpose is to raise her as well as I can, give her attention, and make sure she has the best life I can give her. Am is so precious to me. I do my best to be worthy of that gift.

Taking care of my loved ones.

I think I have a bigger purpose then that in life but I just don't know what.
