Well, having a friend suggest something ludicrous like that is different from having a friend DO something you disapprove of, which is what you originally asked. So, let's say you found out a good friend of yours performed insurance fraud. Maybe they were out drinking & sideswiped a pole and messed up their car pretty bad, so they reported it to the insurance as a hit and run while they were parked at the mall. I think that's what the original poster is really talking about.

I would hope they were joking if they suggested that to me. I'm very against hunting and even fishing, so even suggesting killing a deer to get my car fixed would be a horrible thing to seriously say to me. But poor little dear. It has every right to exist, and to kill it on purpose and not even use every bit of it is just highly immoral.

That and insurance fraud is ILLEGAL!!

Well, we never did do it. First, it is insurance fraud. Second, I'm not going to go run over some poor helpless animal because our car is a piece of junk. Though he did tell me, when I mentioned the deer, that we could hit a telephone pole and just put blood and some hair on it -- people evidently do that as well.

But I am surprised at how many people, in my area, have actually done this. It actually is very common.
