Tink, thanks for posting. The Reverend is a very enlightened man and if more people heard his sermon, the world would be a better place. I respect everyone elses beliefs and wish more Christians and Muslims would do the same. It really is that simple, understanding and respect is what everyone wants. It should be universal.

I understand the message, and don't have any problem with it, as it does seem factual, however, I do think the formula is a little misleading. I agree with some of the posted comments below the video. IMO, he's not talking to anyone but a camera. It's a home video - note the lack of background "people" noise and the fact that his eyes move so quickly. He's not really looking at anyone. He may be a pagan; I don't know, I've never heard of him. I just think the tone is misleading, is all. If he is a reverend or a priest, of what? No problem in our being educated, though. Tink, in your opinion, this is factual? Have you had time to watch the other videos? This is especially appropriate this time of year, with the misconceptions many have. Thank you for sharing.

The format of just being video taped is getting more common. We just had a large church open that uses taped sermons with different styles of praise music. For example they have a hip hop service, a rock service, a country service.. Same message with different music. Strange but true. My sisters church (Low Country Community Church in Murrells Inlet, SC) is growing more dependent on taped sermons from other churches in which the pastor gives his sermon just for the camera and can them be purchased or loaned to other churches. I was not able to find what type of minister Derek Younger is, but I'd be willing to bet Unitarian as they are a very accepting denomination and many Pagans of varying types attend their services. I happen to know many pagans, I have Wiccan freinds, friends who practice Asatru (the modern name of the Old Norse religion, true Asatru, NOT the neo nazi/skinhead version), and Hellenistic Polytheism (worship of the old Greek Gods). What he says is true, we are spoon fed images that are meant to make them look evil. I have watched several other of his videos and he very good and exceptionally well informed.

Thanks tink. It was interesting. I was raised a Baptist and even baptized.I attended church each Sunday , Yet,I could never believe what was I was being spoon fed. I was the kid that questioned everything even to my pastor. Several years ago while studying my celtic roots I stumbled upon information on Paganism. Something clicked. What I believed deep down was actually a belief to others an ancient one. What I believed all along was not only a belief, but a way of life my irish ancestors believed in. It felt like I was home. If you know what I mean. Ever since I have been educating myself more and more.I think Christians would be surprised to know that every christian holiday is based on the pagan calendar.
To be honest christianity lost me as an adult. I do not believe that there is a Devil nor do I believe that there is one God. After all Christianity is only 20% of all the world's religions. I believe in mother earth and higher powers. I believe that what goes around comes around. If you give out positive energy it will come back to you, same with negative energy.
Thank you for sharing this with us. It is shocking how many people only believe what they grew up being told. I know, I was one of them. I just knew it didn't work for me, with paganism I feel at peace, centered and a better person spiritually and emotionally.

I have had a dual existence most of my life. My grandparents taught me to be wiccan and practice witchcraft for goodness and healing. Our times were always spent in the garden or at the table learning the tarot. My parents, on the other hand, were converted Mormon. Talk about a strange situation. As an adult I have embraced the Wiccan Rede and raised my children accordingly with a strong husband who shares my connection to the world around me. My parents, well, I'm only alive when they need something.
It's refreshing to find others who show a level of tolerance for the beliefs of others.
Blessed Be!
Lisa

Many Christians are aware of the origins of the holidays. I have many Christian friends who choose to not celebrate many of them because they do know they originated from the pagans. I am a Christian but i do celebrate. I do it for the family aspects and not from where they came about.

Being a Catholic who has recently become Gnostic Christian, I love this video. I have become more tolerant and understanding by following the ways of the Gnostics from 2,000 years ago than I have from following the Catholic ways. It would be so wonderful if everyone would stop and take the time to learn just a little bit about all the other religions out there. Maybe more people would realize just how similar we really are and we could finally live the way Christ and every other prophet taught us to live, with love and understanding for all.
I believe in a Mother and Father God, and I follow Jesus' teachings.
God Bless!
