My DS said he wasn't going to eat it because it was a meat soup. I couldn't figure that one out as he eats chili, beaf stew and taco soup, well pretty soon he is asking how it tastes, gets a bowl and ends up having 2 servings and loved it!!!!!!

Thanks,Glad your family liked it!

I made this again last night and it was fabulous! Didnt have any leftovers because bil stopped by so I made him stay for dinner. His wife DOES NOT/WILL NOT cook, so if he didnt eat with us he would have ended up going thru a drive thru somewhere.
I did notice that I never have 8 oz cans of tomato sauce, I always buy the 15 oz and the soup still turned out good. So if you want to make the soup and all you have is 15oz of tomato sauce, dont worry about it, just dump it all in.

My husband does not like the flavor of onion soup mix. Do you think I could leave that out? Maybe add a beef boullion or something?

Unfortunetly, I did not know that neither my son or husband like onion soup mix. Neither one of them would eat this. They both tasted it and said no. There is some secret ingrediant in there that we just don't like.
