My mom's famous cabin stew -- everyone always asks for it!

1# burger (or venison)
1# bacon, cut into small pieces
1 c. chopped onion
2 cans Bush's baked beans
15 oz can drained kidney beans
1 can drained butter lima beans
1 c. ketchup
1 tbsp liquid smoke
3 tbsp white vinegar
1 tsp salt
dash pepper

Brown burger in skillet; drain off fat & put in crock pot. Brown bacon in skillet with onion. Drain & add to crock pot. Add remaining ingredients. Stir well. Cover & cook on low 4-9 hours. *Can be cooked on stove top, but it is best when mixed together one day ahead for flavors to blend before cooking.*
