Hi everyone! I wanted you all to know that Grayson had his surgery on Monday. He is doing great. It's amazing how fast kids bounce back. The dr. is going to follow up with CT scans to monitor the fluid but he thinks all was a success. Grayson is already a little more active. I hope this will get him moving even more. It broke my heart to see him like that but I know it was for the best. The sad thing was that he had brain surgery and 12 hours later he was the healthiest of all the kids in the PICU. That really puts things in perspective because although Grayson does have alot of problems I know it could be alot worse. We are taking him to Lexington in 2 weeks for his low muscle tone so I hope we can get some answers about that also.

I hope everyone is good and I appreciate the prayers. They worked!!!

Glad everything went so well. I will continue to keep him in my prayers for mor milestones to be accomplished.

Thank you for keeping us updated! I wanted to ask if you are doing ok? It is hard on the caregiver also. Be good to yourself if you can find time.

He must be a fighter to be better already. What things have you noticed that have changed in him? Could you post a picture of him? PM if you need help posting.

I'm glad to hear your child is doing well after surgery. Did he have hydrocephalus? I wasn't sure from your post. Perhaps if they relieve some of the pressure that might help with the muscle tone problems also. At least I hope so. Let us know how he does.

What a relief for you that he's progessing well. Be sure to take a few minutes for you and tell DH to do the same. It would be hard on Grayson if you were to let yourself get too worn down or ill and not be able to be there. Big hugs to all! Keep us posted!
