We had to spend 7 hours in Urgent Care tonight, 5 of which were just waiting. DS, my almost 9 year old Aspie did just great during his exam and xray!! He wanted me w/him for the xray, but they wanted me to stay w/my diva because she, at 3, was terrified (she ended up having a broken leg, while my son only had a contusioned wrist). He was quite apprehensive, but they said that he cooperated, was shaking, but held completely still. I was so proud of him! He acted up in the waiting room. He said it was because he was bored, but boy, he did great when it counted!

They were at an indoor play place that has hiiiigh climbers, but require the kids to wear socks (making for a slip and accident ready to happen anytime). My daughter fell from a high climb and my son fell as he was running in socks on the rubbery floor.

Daddy brought home a special toy for each tonight for their bravery. He wasn't due home until Thursday night, but came to help out.

Wow, I can't believe BOTH of them got hurt on the same outing. What awful luck. We go to a place like that pretty often and have never gotten hurt, knock on wood, but a friend's little boy broke his arm there a few weeks ago when he jumped off the wrong side of one of those inflatable slides.

I'm glad they are okay but what a bummer about your dd in a cast. Good luck with that!
