Does it get really worse when he/she is excited in a good way? My ds has mentioned that as much as he hates taking his Vyvanse med (for ADHD), it calms him - kind of quiets his mind and body so that so much isn't swirling around. I keep him off it on the weekends, but today was his birthday and I felt I probably should have put him back on it for the day! He was stimming horribly and even driving himself nuts. It was because we had a great day planned (Disney on Ice) and of course, presents, cake and ice cream.

I've seen him stim like that when he's anxious, but he was off the wall with this today! I had to send him to his room 3 times altogether to get him to just calm down and quiet his mind and body. Of course, that feels like a punishment to him. Revved up!
