My son has SPD and sensory intergrative based dyspraxia. He also has oral-motor issues. I'm looking for a very SPECIFIC list of what you give you child daily as far as vitamins go. What brands, dosages, supplements in addition to vitamins if any. We need to do an overhaul on my son's current supplements and I'd REALLY appreciate your help on this!

Currently he's taking a Trader Joe's Children's Multivitamin, a seperate TJ's calcium supplement (with additonal D and Magnesium) and Artic Cod Fish Liver Oil (Nordic Naturals, 1t) daily. I think the fish oil is doing it's job, but not so sure on the other things. Also, for those of you that give your children additional B12, what dosage do you give them? My son is four, but is the size of a six year old.

Thanks in advance everyone, I appreciate your feedback!

Is your child under the care of a developmental pediatrician? I would truly only go with their recommendation for changes like this. My son uses the Kirkman's line - not bought in stores, I buy direct from them. However, I want to up or get the best Omegas, and don't think I have them, and I want to get the right dosage of magnesium. I am actually planning on switching dev. peds. before I do this, as I just am not happy w/the one I had.

Kirkmans will tell you about their products and mail you a catalog (you can also see them online)- they are recommended by many Dr.s. But Kirkmans will give you no recommendations - that's got to come from the Dr. based on your child's needs.

This is what my son (age 8) has too. It's also referred to as Developmental Coordination Disorder or "Clumsy Child Syndrome" definition for those who don't know what it is.

I've never met or even talked to another Mom whose child has this. Welcome to the boards.

We just give a daily complete multi in the morning and a calcium in the evening. I have been thinking about starting him on Omega 3's as well. I take them but I haven't found anything he could take without gagging. We choose the multi-vitamin because in our case it was the only one he could get down. Teddy's Choice Complete - Part of the President's Choice brand.

Welcome.
