Clayton is having surgery in 11 days and I am one nervous mom.....his surgeon is great, we trust him, but this is my baby we are talking about the surgery is suppose to last between 3-4 hours. I am nervous because of Clayton's breathing issues and his liver. I know that my son is a fighter and is strong enough for this surgery but i am still nervous and scared. I am so thankful for a place to share, thanks for listening.

Hi, I will be praying for you and your child. The closer it gets, the more it consumes your thoughts. My DS is also having surgery in 15 days and has had other surgeries in the past. I really hope this will be the last one for both our little guys.

Take care and try to rest up now beforehand.

Little ones having surgery is hard. I turn into Godzilla-mom, blowing fire and all while I wait for DS to get out of surgery. Its funny though, DH is nervous, but he just sits and reads a magazine, while I'm pitching a fit. As soon as I can have Luki back and he shakes off the woozies enough to talk, the first thing he says is "Daddy". Its so gargled and cute, makes all the worrying feel silly.

Good Luck!

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. He is having a g-tube placed into his stomach to assist in feedings. Right now he has an NG tube (a tube through his nose to his stomach).

To littlelizard: I will keep you and your son in my prayers. If you don't mind sharing what is he having surgery for?

Tommy has a Gtube! The surgery is a breeze, and it helped him tremendously! ((HUGS))!

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to all of you. Clayton had his surgery last Thursday. He did amazing The surgery only took 45 min. and his liver is not as enlarged as previous thought. This is good thing. We came home on Wednesday and have been adjusting since then. It is so much easier than the NG tube and I get to see my angel's beautiful face again. Clayton is such a strong and brave little boy, he is still in great spirits. I feel like I have had this huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Last night Clayton slept in his own room, in his own crib for the first time since we brought him home from the hospital, what a fantastic moment. For awhile I thought that it would never happen, he is in there again tonight. Today, we had to take him to ER because his G-tube was leaking formula. Hopefully they fixed it, so it can heal and we can begin this chapter in our lives. Thank you for all the prayers, thoughts and support.
