We do home school Hunter but I also let him go to the developmental preschool so he can learn social skills from the other children.
With sickness being around other children does build up immunities but at what cost for you? Would it be worth it for your daughter to catch a cold? Only you know these answers but I know you search your heart and find the answer. All the best, April

Part of the reason for wanting to homeschool her is her immunity, but I also have always felt preschool was unnecessary (not for everyone, but generally speaking, I think it's part of our society trying to push our kids out of their childhood too soon. I think when they're young, the best place for our kids is in the home (again, not every child, and not every home, but generally speaking), so this is part of my dilemma, and it's complicated by Lily's health needs. OTOH, I also know Lily needs PT, OT, & ST. It's *easiest* for me to just have her go to preschool and get it all in one, but I don't necessarily feel like that's a decision I'm comfortable with. I can have her get outside therapy, and I'm sure our insurance will cover it all. The biggest issues are time and taking the other 2 with me. So, I'm probably going to seriously "go against the grain" with my decision, and I may change my mind a bunch of times before I decide for sure, but at this point, I do lean towards keeping her home. I do appreciate all who have responded. Thank you for your advice and your thoughts!
