Sorry I didn't post back sooner. I am no super mom and rarely get time to check the boards anymore since I started back at work.
We are hopeful that Jana will not have to wear her AFOs forever. They will actually be cutting them down shortly and then wean her away from them. I have no idea how long the process will take. She receives the Botox injections in her right calf about every 4 months or so. She is casted for a week after them to get the full benefit of the stretch. So far we have seen good results after the injections, and she walks flat-footed for at least a few months then. She also goes to private physical therapy once every two weeks for 45 minutes a session.
Having triplets has been quite an adventure for us. They are actually alot easier now that they are 5 and in kindergarten full day. They are the best of friends and pretty much still move as a unit. My dh is wonderful about helping with them but is a terrible house husband. Therefore, my house is usually quite messy. I try my best, but everything is very overwhelming to me right now. I am having a hard time adjusting to work again after staying home for almost 6 years. I currently work 4 days a week at a local school and would love to work less next year. Unfortunately the money is really needed after being home for so long.
I will try to do better about catching up on posts. I have scanned a few and autism seems to be a common diagnosis here.
Take care and thanks for checking up on me!
