We are returning to WDW for our second trip this year!

I wanted to share what we have learned about WDW and special needs so far.

Room requests can be made for medical reasons and they will be honored. There is a seperate number for SN but I use the 800 to save money. 800 828-0228.

There is a Guest assistance card, GAC offered at the guest relations at each park. It is good for all the parks and for the entire stay. You don't need a dr. letter or note. They just want to know what the needs of the child are. We need an alternative entrance because DS will not, can't wait in line. They have different stamps for each need. Stroller as a wheelchair, up front for all shows, etc.

The GAC is what keeps us returning to WDW because DS is happy when his needs are being met. His launguage jumps from having all the sensory issues met and we just love to see him so happy.

Thank you, April, for this information. Some people would avoid taking their Special Needs child to Disney just because of the lines. I wish more places offered this feature so our children could enjoy their offerings. Have fun at Disney!
