I had twins almost 3 years ago, and one of them had A marker for Down's, but it wasn't EIF. They actually thought it looked like she had transposition of the greater vessels, but they were also have a hard time getting a good picture because she didn't have much amniotic fluid. I did have an amnio that day, and all the results came back negative for any chromosome abnormalities. It was a pretty scary couple of weeks though. As it turned out much later, we found out that her heart appeared to be fine, and she did not have transposition. Although, once she was born, she did have a couple of major defects, one that required surgery when she was 8 days old, but both of those defects happened after birth, and both have resolved now. She still has a couple of minor valve issues, and sees a cardiologist yearly, but neither one is causing any problems right now.
I hope everything goes well with your baby!! Please keep us posted. Also, if you're looking for more info on this specific heart defect, I'd check babycenter.com in their pregnancy forums. So many people go there, and it's very likely someone's had something more like your experience.
BIG HUGS to you!!
