Boy, Did I ever cause a stir. Didn't mean to. Just was frustrated at the moment. The great thing is I found some wonderful women in which I can relate to. I know the best way to find out who is on your side, is to stir up trouble.

Thanks for all the support and the hugs. They are appreciated, especially this week. Although I am one of the lucky ones. I have a great husband, wonderful support at school and a few great friends.

Like all parents we have issues, hard situations and sometimes we just don't know what is best. We just do what feels right. Maybe through this post, some moms will realize that what seems so important in child rearing, really isn't.

When I went back and read my post, I did sound kind of sad and or bitter. That was not my intention. Actually I wrote it while my ds was running around in his underwear with his darth vader cape on, eating trix out of the bag and laughing hysterically at something. I thought this is one happy child! I had read someother posts and thought well I may not be mom of the year, But this kid, at this moment was enjoying life. So, I must be doing something right.

We become so caught up in our children (as we should). Yet, we should not lose ourselves.
Remember us? So, I want to get to know you better. I came up with some questions I thought would be fun. After all they are going to leave the house one day. We will be left to find that woman we ignored for all those years. Have fun! Mitzi

1) What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you do it?

2)If you could have any vehicle in any color , what would it be?

3) If you could do anything knowing you would not fail what would you do?

4) If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Would you stay?

5) If you could spend an hour with anyone who would it be?

6) What are your biggest pet peeves?

7) What would you do with a million dollars?

8) Besides your husband, who is your dream man?

9) What movies makes you cry, laugh or just think?

10) What music connects to your soul?

11) If calories didn't exist, What food would you eat at the time?

12) What are your passions? What inspires you to be who you are? ( besides your family)

13) If you could change anything about your past what would it be?

14) You have one day with no obligations and a wallet full of cash, where do you go, what do you do?

15) If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?

*** I will post my answers later ***

1) What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you do it?
Well, I went to the college I did because it had a great business college. I wanted to be a successful business person. I stayed in the business college for exactally 1 semester. I ended up with a degree in Sociology. I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up (I'm 42!)

2)If you could have any vehicle in any color , what would it be?
Right now I would like a van that we can actually all fit in!!! I was wanting a 12 or 15 passenger van, but with gas prices I think we could squeeze into an 8 passenger van. I don't really care what color it is. It can be beat up and full of rust as long as the engine is good. I am not much into appearances.

3) If you could do anything knowing you would not fail what would you do?
I think I might want to be an Elemantary school teacher. I did complete all but student teaching for an elementary/early childhood degree, but am afraid I could not handle it!

4) If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Would you stay?
I am not much of a traveler. But I have always wanted to take an Alaskan Cruise.

5) If you could spend an hour with anyone who would it be?
Martin Luther King would be pretty interesting, I think.

6) What are your biggest pet peeves?
Bad grammar, and people not taking responsibility for their own lives.

7) What would you do with a million dollars?
Live comfortably!!!!:D I would actually stop working and do alot of volunteer work.

8) Besides your husband, who is your dream man?
I really have no idea. I do not really think about things like that. I watch almost no movies and very little tv (except cartoons) so I don't even know who most of the stars are.

9) What movies makes you cry, laugh or just think?
I don't really watch many movies

10) What music connects to your soul?
I don't listen to much music either (gosh, I am sounding pretty boring). But some old familiar hymns really geet to me!!!

11) If calories didn't exist, What food would you eat at the time?
Cheesecake and chocolate (but not chocolate cheesecake)

12) What are your passions? What inspires you to be who you are? ( besides your family)
I am drawn to helping people. I think that and a strong belief that there is a reason for everythiing has really helped shape me.

13) If you could change anything about your past what would it be?
I don't really believe in changing anything from the past, because that would change the present too much!!!! (I have often wanted to say that I would not have wanted my oldest son to die, but then I never would have had my 4 little boys) I think this goes back to my belief that everything happens for a reason.

14) You have one day with no obligations and a wallet full of cash, where do you go, what do you do? Out bargain shopping and out to eat

15) If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Either world peace or end world hunger (ya, I know, just little things, huh?)

You really posted some thought provoking questions!!!!

Thought it was time I answered my own questions. I saw that there was another post similar to mine on another forum. I am glad that I posted this here.

1) What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you do it?
When I was really young I wanted to be a dancer, My teacher and parents had me set to be a doctor or lawyer because I was an over achiever at a young age. When I was in high school I wanted to be a sports agent. And no I did not do it, Or does dancing around the living room count?
. I fell in love early, that sent me in another direction. I am currently a florist and soon to be a sahm, I learned that I have to be in a career than fulfills my creative side.

2)If you could have any vehicle in any color , what would it be? A BMW, mossy green color. 500 series. Does not have to be new.In fact would prefer restored vintage. But does need to look very european. Of course my fairy car seats would have to be in it .

3) If you could do anything knowing you would not fail what would you do?
A writer. I would love to write fantasy, mystic type books. Or a biography of an interesting person. I write all the time. People tell me I should go for it. Whether it is in my poetry, my memories or the heartfelt sentiment in a card. It is the one way I can truely be myself.

4) If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Would you stay?
Ireland, I want to see all of it. If it is anything like my dreams. I would like to stay, Preferrably in a small fishing village on the western coast.

5) If you could spend an hour with anyone who would it be?
There are so many. People fasinate me. I guess it would be Bill Clinton.
I would like to know what is what like to lead the most powerful country in the world. People tend to remember his mistakes, I remember the success he had. He recently said that his biggest regret was not helping the people of Rwanda I would like to here of his volunteer efforts there now. I would also ask him what he would do if he was given the presidency today.

6) What are your biggest pet peeves? People that use their power for their own gain, Rude people in general, road construction that last months and a more simpler note; packages that are impossible to get into.

7) What would you do with a million dollars?
Pay off bills, Buy my hubby his dream truck, my bmw, Buy a house, Take in an older foster child or two, take my kids to disneyworld and then travel to Ireland. A million isn't much anymore sad to say.

8) Besides your husband, who is your dream man? Orlando Bloom.
It use to be John Corbett, but he got too old for me. I figure if I am going to have a crush, it is going to be with someone younger. My hubby bought me a huge poster of Orlando and put in front of my computer. So, I guess he isn't too worried. He is so cute and seems like a sweet person too. Rare combination in Hollywood.

9) What movies makes you cry, laugh or just think?
"Love Actually" makes me laugh, think and cry, "Elizabethtown" makes me cry and laugh through my tears, "Where the Heart Is" makes me cry, "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy has so much symbolism in makes me think and "50 First Dates" makes me laugh so hard.
I also love Ellen De Generes' stand up videos, she can make me stop breathing she is so funny!!!

10) What music connects to your soul?
Celtic Music, Lord of the rings soundtrack and love songs that make me think of myself in the 80's and 90's. It is strange how music can make you remember like nothing else can.
When I am in the car it is my girl Cher, Turned up loud and with me singing along. Also the song "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol. ( all you Grey's Anatomy fans, it is the song that was playing when Denny died ) I still cry when I hear that song.

11) If calories didn't exist, What food would you eat at the time?
Not that I count them. But it would be Crab and shrimp enchaladas with a big bowl of chips and salsa. You might as well throw in the Margarita and deep fried ice cream too.

12) What are your passions? What inspires you to be who you are? ( besides your family)

My biggest passion is truth.. I know that sounds strange, I feel if we are truthful with one another than a real connection can be made with one's soul. Any medium in the arts is another passion, visual arts, music, dance, theatre or just being crafty with my kids. Writing , Whether I use it as an emotional release, to show someone how much I care or to help someone. Writing gives my life a purpose.
My knowledge. I am always learning or trying new things.

13) If you could change anything about your past what would it be?
Not finishing college. Although if I had ,I would be in a job that I hate. Because I have grown as a person so much since then. I can't imagine having a degree in business. That is so removed from who I am today.

14) You have one day with no obligations and a wallet full of cash, where do you go, what do you do?
Grab my girlfriend head to the beach, Go eat at a painfully expensive restaurant. Visit the art galleries and glass blowing shops. Actually buy a keepsake to take home and walk barefoot on the sand.

15) If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
To eliminate all the tension and power struggles over religion. It is the reason for the conflict that is going on now. It over turns all the relief efforts trying to be made by humanitarians. It is the reason that children in 3rd world countries are undernourished and uneducated. The conflict not only between countries but amongst the different cultures in the countries themselves.

1) What did you want to be when you grew up? Did you do it?
When I was really little I wanted to be an archeologist who uncivered ancient ruins. As I got older I wanted to be an art curator and work in a museum. I did not follow my dream because I lost confidence in myself and felt stuck because DD #1 was born when I was in high school so I married my husband.

2)If you could have any vehicle in any color , what would it be?
I would love a lime green me & my purse kind of car.

3) If you could do anything knowing you would not fail what would you do?
I would love to start a business to help people learn how to budget and get out of debt. I would also love to educate people on the ways & uses of a credit score and help pass legislation to limit it uses.
4) If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Would you stay?
I would love to see Europe but I don't think I would stay because Americans are really hated in alot of the countries over there.
5) If you could spend an hour with anyone who would it be?
Mother Teresa so that I could understand how she was so humble and giving.
6) What are your biggest pet peeves?
People who waste money that they don't have and then complain about all their bills.
7) What would you do with a million dollars?
At this moment I would split it between the 800+ families of the men who are on strike with my DH so that they don't cave & give into the compnay they work for.
8) Besides your husband, who is your dream man?
I don't have one.
9) What movies makes you cry, laugh or just think?
Schnidler's List & Passion of The Christ
10) What music connects to your soul?
I listen to all types but right now I really listen to the hiphop and rap and try to make my DDs understand what the lyrics really mean and how belittling most of them are.
11) If calories didn't exist, What food would you eat at the time?
rippled potato chips and Cass Clay bermuda & french onion dip.
12) What are your passions? What inspires you to be who you are? ( besides your family)
I work on a floor that provides Abused Women Services and I want girls to realize that they are special and can be anything that they want to be and the way society belittles and demeans women is wrong. I want men & women to realize that women are slowly sliding backwords in our rights and if we don't stand together and have our voices heard we will loose everything.
13) If you could change anything about your past what would it be?
I wish I would have had the self esteem after DD was born to realize that a guy would still want me and marry me instead of never even looking for another man. But then I wouldn't have the 4 beautiful DDs that I have now so I guess God works in mysteriuos ways.
14) You have one day with no obligations and a wallet full of cash, where do you go, what do you do? I would love to shop at all the outlet malls/ stores I could find and then eat at a nice restraunt and not notice the prices that they charge.
15) If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
I would teach the younger generation (even my generation) that they are not entitled to anything. That you should have to work for things you want and they aren't just given to you or charged on a credit card.
