DS decided to leave the neighbors house today and go visit another neighbor without telling or asking me. So after I find him, I know I need to punish him and I bring him home. So difficult to punish someone who doesn't understand what he did wrong. I gave him no tv time tonight and he had to come inside for an hour. He thinks if he says sorry, then everything is ok and then asks 5 mins later " why am I in trouble". I swear this no fear of danger thing is going to give me a heart attack. Does anyone else find it difficult sometimes to punish your SN child.

I'm right there with you. I can be harder on him because he does understand a lot, but I try to know when to limit it. I have to admit, though, he often makes the same wrong decisions his two year old sister does!
