Again, this obvious but make sure during the winter you can set up a PEC for when your child is cold or if verbal put "I am cold" into the language program. We have used ice, the stream on our property, even stood outside with no clothes in the cold together for moment so DS understands "cold" .

Winter is a great time to be outside and working on sensory issues but having a cold child is no fun and even worse if they can't tell you something is wrong.

PEC's have a great card for cold or you can make one up.

HAve a great start to winter, April

What is a PEC? Marcus is going to start working with picture cards, is it something like that? Marcus is non-verbal.

Hi,

It is exactly that, Picture Expressive Comminucations System. Being able to express yourself using the pictures. I use them for where is dad we have at home and work. I also use them for the activity schedule. Hunter knows what order he is to work in and then what the reward is.

I also have a picture this disk if you would like a copy just let me know.
