This is a spinoff of a thread posted elsewhere.

Do you find yourself spending more or just making an extra effort to dress your kid so he will blend in as much as possible with the others? I don't want my son to ever be ostracized based on his clothes (my mom had no taste or money and it was horrible to be judged by appearance without them even wanting to get to know you). I want kids to be able to know him as who he is, and not have him stand out. Do you find yourself doing the same? I just don't want it to be another challenge for him. Of course, he has no clue what others wear and could usually care less. Plus it's most important for him to be comfortable.

The only thing clothing related DS cares about is who is on his underwear. I do try to keep him dressed like the other kids so it keeps him being made fun of to a minimum. DS just likes to be comfy. I do tend to put him in character shirts lately because he is really into certain things. Right now we have a robot obesesion.
