I was just thinking about being tense and how much Hunter feeds off the emotions I have. I need to remember that he is doing this and be aware to try to stay relaxed while the world falls apart around me. Just kidding but when it does get tense, remember to take a moment to close your eyes and take a deep breath. Inhale deeply and fully, strech out, finger way up above your head and strech out. Pull on all the muscles then come down and relax.

This take 1 minute of your time and hopefully you will relax a bit and go back to the battles.

This is so true. I had to deal with a nasty thing today and when I went to get my kids for breakfast I reminded myself that my problems are not their fault and they should not be their problems. Deep breath and fake smile - which turns into a real one when they smile back!

This is true for all kids, no matter their needs! A good thing for all of us to remember.

April, this post came at the best time. My ds had a very bad day at school and I even had to go back with him after school to get the things he forgot. His teacher was there and just could see my face.
I'm signing off right now to tuck him in bed and apologize for my reactions.

Your post did a good thing!
