Hi everyone. We found out Grayson does need the surgery for hydrocephalus. The dr wants to try making a hole in his 3rd ventricle and letting the fluid bypass the natural passageway. This seems to work alot and if this works the he won't need a shunt. He goes in for his final MRI on Wed. and then the dr will meet with us to set up surgery. I'm so glad I found the support of this group. I will pray for everybody here. Our kids make our world a better place and I feel so blessed to watch him improve everyday. It is a struggle but it makes you appreciate the little things.

I will be praying for you and your son.
I Just want to let you know my dd's close friend had this when she was a baby. She is now 9 years old and doing well. She actually had to have a shunt put in but you would never know it today. She is actually going for her 2 year check up this coming monday. She does everything that a normal child does.
