Here are some inexpensive teacher gifts. Please add some of your ideas.

-Homemade goodies (cookies, bread, candy, fudge)
-A book from a book fair, or donate books from home that your kids aren't interested in. I doubt the teacher will care about previously viewed books.
-Have your child write a letter to the teacher saying how much they appreciate him/her, and what they love about school.
-Volunteer in the classroom.
-Ask if there are any school supplies she needs. Check at home if you bought extra boxes of crayons when they were on sale for a nickel in August.

You can get some games for around $5 or less around the holidays. These are always good for teachers to keep in the classroom...or puzzles.

classroom supplies are a great idea. I never thought of that. My parents and my in-laws were all teachers, and you wouldn't believe the amount of "world's best teacher" junk they got.

Just a word of warning about home made goodies - some schools do not allow them. You might want to check first.

I got lucky and hit the Target $1 bin this year. I stocked up on packs of post it notes, notepads and notecards.

Dry erase markers, crayons, glue, scissors. When the kids run out of this stuff the teachers often supply it themselves.
Also, post-its, soft balls, sidewalk chalk, frisbees, jumpropes for the the kids to use at recess.

Stickers!

This year I am getting all the teachers dry-erase markers. They use them a lot and it isn't clutter.

Maybe a small gift card to a Teacher Store. My mom is a teacher and she has to always buy things like books with lesson plans in them and other things and it comes out of pocket. They usally have a set amount that they will be remibursed but that goes very quickly.
