"I got several great deals on clearance christmas scrapbook supplies"
This is a great point. Look in craft stores for Christmas craft clearance items (needlepoint designs, red/green yarn, foam crafts, ornaments, etc) so you can put together those crafts during the year.

Yes I love the Art bucket idea
I always try to do the snowman soup it is so neat
The adults I try to do a basket with cookies, fudge and breads, jar mixes, handmade ornaments, handmade candles, handmade potholders and this year I'm going to be canning so will add some canned stuff such as jam pickles and sauce, The bay will be getting some fleece blankets and a couple of quilts that grandma is making for him mommy will be getting a hoody that grandma is going to put baby's foot prints, hand prints and pic on
I will also be giving her a scrapbook of his first year.
Will definitely be borrowing the crochet hook idea for my mom and grandmother and think I will make everyone a new stocking

flylady.net has some great ideas for clutter-free gifts...one year I gave my mom a little treasure box containing 52 slips of paper, each with a verse, poem, special memory or such that I'd written on it. She was to pull one out each week for a year. She LOVED LOVED LOVED it! DH did one for his mom, too, and she also loved it. Then my step daughter & step son did one for my DH one father's day. Very special.
Might be a good one to start early...it takes a while to come up with 52 things!

I did this for DH one year. I did 52 things I loved about him. He LOVED it. I still hear about it and I did it 13 years ago. This would be great for an SO for Valentine's Day too. I think maybe I should do it again!

-I also want to make a super hero cape for my son like someone on here mentioned, but I don't know how to sew, so we will see how that goes...lol[/quote]
There are fantastic tutorials on the internet. I am sewing something for everyone this year - and I know I have seen a cape tutorial that is awesome. Keep looking.
I am making key chains, handbags, doll totes for my girls, eye glass cases, book marks, pin cushions, aprons, storage bins, back of the seat organizers for cars, and the list goes on.....
there are so many tutorials that you can find free help for everything and everyone on your lists!!!

Not sure if you have found a tutorial yet but I came across this one that looks really easy and oh so cute! (I'm a beginner myself in the sewing area)

I've done this twice. The one I did for my bf I did in a small fluted vase (still big enough to get your hand into) and in the bottom I used clear, white, and red heart shaped smooth marble things you can get cheap at wal-mart or craft stores and wrote on strips of pretty scrapbooking papers. I did one for my parents one year for Christmas and used a large mason jar and wrote everything on brown paper, gingham, etc and used a square of gingham fabric over the top of the mason jar, kept it very homey and country.
