Someone stop me! I'm getting to the point, I just can't pass up a deal. Ever since I started coming to Mommysavers, I've been cruising for the best deal. I actually look forward to the store circulars coming out so I can match up my coupons and get a deal! Half the time, I don't even NEED it, but I can't help but buy it! LOL

We are SO stocked up, I've stock piled tons of stuff, my upright freezer is SO packed, I can't fit much more in there. But yet, I can't help but think, whats on sale NEXT week???? LOL

I've done AWESOME this month. I gave myself an actual allowance, $400 for the month. I still have $70 left! Heheeee!:D

Help!! ROFL!!

:D I'm the SAME WAY! But you know what, my madness has blessed others in their time of need.. When my DH's boss's wife was delivering their son, I had 5 prepped meals and a bunch of extra food ready for them to put in the oven. Stuff like that. Sure, sometimes I go overboard, but I try to stay in bounds as much as I can. One time I bought 10 boxes of fruit snacks b'c my son was addicted to them (*ahem* me too).. and then he stopped eating them. I gave like 6 boxes to my BIL.. but at least I paid cents on the dollar for them and not $3.49 or whatever INSANE price they normally are in the supermarket. I'm blessed to have an extra freezer (my in-laws live next door and have a freezer in the garage) to store extra stuff. But if you don't have that, I'd start pricing box freezers and see how fast you can save for one (make it a game!!) so you'll have more freezer space for your bargains!

I'm going to start gathering extra food together and taking it to the local shelter a couple weeks before Christmas. DS won't remember it this year (he's only 2), but I want to do it every year. I want to teach my children that Christmas is about giving and loving one another -- about the sacrifice and love of Jesus Christ.

I'm the same way. I have stocked piled things "just because" of the deal I get on them. I did the same thing with the fruit snacks - my son LOVES them and was eating them ALL the time. So I got a bunch (as in about 35 or 40) coupons from the coupon clippers and purchased each box for 25 cents. Now the little bugger doesn't eat them as much. And I just realized they have an exp date on them....and some of them are already sticking together and hardening....so much for that deal....that was on the only deal gone bad.

I've been a little lax in the coupons lately and nothing good has really been on sale here. Hopefully that will pick up soon. Then I can drive my husband nuts again with the stockpiles....:D

Missystuy- I say the next challenge is to lower your spending limit!

I spend less than 50 per week for 5 people. that's only 200 per month. I actually have been only going to grocery store for absolute needs and have reduced that this month. I will do this again for dec. my stockpiles are getting smaller.

yep from having stockpiles. I have freezer full of meats and basement full of dry/can goods and paper products and tolieteries. I went to grocery store and all I needed was potatoes and velvetta. I won't need to go again until fresh fruit is gone and that can wait until next week to take advantage of sales.
lucky me I also only have to buy a few gifts as most were already stockpiled as well.
