My husband and I both work for ourselves so our income can swing wildly from month to month.

I think mine is making sure we stay on track with eating at home. We've been so inundated with medical/doctor/therapy visits/er visits/hospital stays, etc., that sometimes I'm just too tired to cook.

My biggest struggle is my DH. He is pretty good about sticking to the budget but when he gets off course it annoys me so I want to go spend unnecessarily. I could do this budget thing awhole lot stricter if I knew he was trying equally hard.

My kids! I want them to be able to do everything they want to. Also I have to say no more and realize that one small thing turns into a big amount if you have a few kids

Same! Just yesterday we went to Ross to find some shorts for myself and we ended up buying our son some toys. We always go somewhere and buy him something even if it's just something small. My husband said that I spoil him too much. LOL

Groceries........especially during the summer when me and the boys are home almost all the time. It has been a struggle. We eat a lot of sandwiches. That seems to help.

That's exactly the problem we've been having too, especially since they've been out of school for 2 weeks now.

I want them to be busy this summer, but everything they want to do really adds up.

My biggest struggle is spending sporadically...like going to wal mart to get some Comet and a new toothbrush and coming home with three new DVDs and a bunch of purses. Sometimes I feel like I was tricked into buying it, but Wal Mart knows how to get into my pockets. Maybe I should just take as much money as I need and leave the rest at home.

My DH varied work schedule. When he is laid off we have no extra $, but that is when he wants to eat out and come shopping with me. He is worse than the children!!!
