I didn't buckle under pressure and made lunches for my kids and a friend to take to the park instead of stopping for fast food on the way. That's a big step for me as those dollar menus have a way of sucking me in .

I used some coupons that were about to expire to stock up on things we will be using over the summer and for school lunches next year - we now have a ton of juicy juice. While at Target noticed that one flavor of nutra grain bars was more than $1 less than the other plus it was buy 4 get one free so I bought 5 boxes (all they had)- because they were so cheap - they ended up being less than .14 cents each and DS loves them. I normally buy the generic but these were cheaper. I also had some coupons for free items - velveta easy mac - 2 free pack, free bart bees lip balm. I also stocked up on tampons - buy 2 get $5 giftcard - they never go on sale for that much off so it was a great deal on something I really need.

Planning on having a low key week and not spending much money - will be using the library a lot - have 5 movies out right now and have a few more waiting for me when I return these on Friday - gotta love that.

Getting much better at using up leftovers - sometimes we don't all have the same thing for dinner but instead of throwing out something it is more likely to get used - feel so good about this as I feel so bad when food goes to waste.

We all simply stayed home. I at one point was going to go to either McDonalds or BK for cheeseburgers for lunch, but I decided to make what we had at home.

-packing our lunch for after swim lessons (do this every day)
-planning on leftover spaghetti for dinner
-used bill pay which saves me time and stamps
-reusing my 6 gallon water container for camping this weekend instead of buying gallon jugs or individual bottles
-no a/c this morning - will be 95 this afternoon so that will change
-heading to the river for some free swimming this afternoon

I'm working so therefore not spending...I also brought a lunch and snacks so I wouldn't be tempted to buy them.

used tons of coupons at the grocery store this morning, used online bill pay to pay 2 bills this afternoon, walked to the park instead of driving, washed clothes in cold water, made jello for dessert instead of going out to get ice cream, reused a gift bag to wrap a b-day present for my nephew and made his card instead of buying one.
