No! At least not during the school year. We both travel too far or would have to be gone from 5am to 6pm at the minimum.

We could if we had to, especially right now because my husband carpools. Otherwise, I could drive him to the lightrail once or twice a week to get errands done. It'd be boring though!

This would be tough, but we could. Right now we have a truck and an older car that *knock on wood* keeps ticking. Hoping I don't have to find out soon.

Guess the kids would have to walk to and from school or catch a ride. I'd have to get my errands done in the evening and have others take my carpool spot for sport activities and give someone some gas money in exchange. Somewhere I think a door would open up, eventually.

In the past we have done it but my DH is starting a job now, over an hour away, and then it will be impossible.

Oh gawd, I hate thinking of what ifs, but yes. We have two at the moment and DD & DS will be going to the same school next year, finally! It's really, really close. Maybe a five or ten minute walk, so I can wing it if I had to. It's so hot here, I prefer driving though

dh can't get by with two cars .. he has a commuter car and a truck. We tried to get by without a pickup and it didn't work out well.

He works 14 hr days very often, 1.5 hrs each way commute. I would be stuck here all the time! I live in a rural town.

Probably, but it would take a lot of compromise on both of our parts.

Dh works from 7:30 to 4:00. And I work from 8:30 to 5:00. So each of us would have to wait an hour on the other. But we don't work that far apart.

Just the wait, an hour for me in the morning, and a hour in the evening for him.

Yes, if we had to, but it wouldn't be easy, and I'd be staying home all day, every day.
