Has anyone gone through their child's closet and decided they don't need any back to school clothes?

My girls are set when it comes to spring/summer type of clothes. They will need pants, jeans, and new sneakers though.

Both of my kids have tons of shirts. Only thing i am buying them this year is a few pairs of jeans to start the year.Since they are both still growing i tend to buy as needed thru the school year.

My kids both have plenty of tees and shirts that still fit; but they'll need jeans and pants as well as shoes. I don't usually do a big shop - we buy one or two outfits to start the year with then buy as needed as everything goes on sale throughout the year.

We will need to shop this year, unfortunately. We are putting the kids in a public school this year and up until this point they have been wearing uniforms, so they will need jeans and pants. I did just pick up 4 pair of capris for DD on walmart for about $7 a pair. Just waiting for jeans and pants to go one sale. DS will be set with shirts until winter. He can wear the polos he had been using last year at school (thankfully my kids don't grow but when they do they sprout). DD will need a bit more though but I think we'll just pick them up as the year progresses

I wish I wasn't. But I won't buy a whole bunch at once. I will hit as many yard sales as I can from now until then. They will be able to wear some summer clothes for a little while. My oldest buys his own, because he is too picky. My youngest has tons of clothes, but will need some jeans. That is it. My teen girls need the most. I will have to buy all of them new shoes.

It is still summer-time hot when DD goes back to school so she'll be going in summer clothes. I will have to buy new shoes for cheerleading in August. And when the weather gets colder she'll need long sleeve shirts and hoodies. Other than that, she is good until she grows. I tend to buy the next size up slowly as I see deals in thrift stores and on clearance.

The only thing we will be buying are new shoes and a few supplies. I just got the older 2 some jeans in the spring and they have not grown any this summer.I might need to get my youngest some jeans later, but he has enough to get started with. I always just buy as they need, not when people expect it to be done.

We are not buying anything. My kids have plenty of clothes. We just replace them as needed, much cheaper that way!

My ds only needs underware, socks and gym shoes. I usually buy things as he needs them or I sift thru my handmedown/clearance/consignment stash to get what I need, plus, he will still be wearing summer stuff when school starts too.

He's also lucky, he has a September Birthday so he ends up getting some nice fall/winter clothes then!!

Ds will definitely need new tennis shoes. So those will be bought before school starts. He doesn't need any spring/summer clothes since his bday is in April and he got tons of nice clothes then. I have been trying to look for his size at garage sales, but haven't really found too much yet. He will need more jeans later on since he is growing like a weed! But no, there will not be a huge shopping trip. A little here and there when we find good sales will have to do for now.
