Do you think that you will continue to be frugal in the far future?

In my adult life I have been frugal and then when money was good not so frugal. Now that money is not good at all I have went way back to being frugal. I am hoping that the money will get better but when it does I will try to continue to use my frugal life style even then. How about you do you think if you had more money coming in you would slip some in your frugal life styel or would you continue to practice frugality?

I'd like to think so...My plan is to keep my head above water as much as I can now and later on, when things improve, put that extra money into savings (and hopefully start an education fund for my children).

I've never been the type of person that money burns a hole in their pockets. If I have money, but I don't need anything, I'm not going to go out and blow it just because I can.

M'ija, on the other hand, has what she refers to as "a leaky wallet." She's gotten much better at plugging that leak since she moved out on her own.

I hope I stay frugal. My DH will be starting a new job in a few weeks, which will bring in a lot more money for us. I was worried about him thinking that the extra money he make would be his but he told me it's all doing down on our debt. I was so happy and surprised. I believe I will continue to be frugal. It's become addicting to me and very fun!

I will always be frugal, you learn from an early age, to not waste things or money if you never had much to begin with, I would still be the same if I were rich or not! Self satisfaction! :D

Yep. I've always been frugal and lived well below our means. Unless I get struck by a bolt of lightning I can't imagine such a personality change this late in life!

I don't think we'll have much choice with our drastic cuts in salaries the past year. But, we were frugal even when we did make more money, I don't see that ever changing.

I dont have a choice. Electricity is going to be increased by 45% every year for three years where I live. We cant survive without finding a solution.
