We always go to Great Clips. I have never had a problem with them before. I can always find coupons for $6.99.

We go to Fantastic Sam's. They almost always have coupons out, and they take competitor's as well. Plus they have a punch card; after so many haircuts you get one free. I trim my daughter's bangs, but she and I have thick, fairly curly hair that is hard for me to try get even if I cut it. And my son has so many cowlicks, I will not even attempt to cut it myself! I know I could save money by cutting our hair at home, but I don't think my skills are up to us looking halfway decent By no means do we go every 4-6 weeks, just when we need it.

Yes, we always go to walk in places. When we want hair cuts we want them NOW. No time in our busy lives to make appointments.

No...haven't had good experiences with them, stopped going to those places a loooong time ago. My experience has been that you get what you pay for...so the $5-$10 haircut that I need to go get 'fixed' at a regular salon a few days later, doesn't save me any $$$. May work great for some, but we got awful haircuts at those places.

We go to Great Clips. I don't know if it's chain-wide, but all 3 stores here do this: Buy a $40 Great Clips gift card, get a free haircut. Then the rest of us go in with our $6.99 or $8.99 or whatever coupons to use up the $40. Rinse, repeat.

I would have agreed with this in the past, but I found a GREAT stylist who always does an awesome job on my hair at Fantastic Sam's. I refuse to have anyone else cut my hair.

My Dh will go to Fantastic Sam's or Great Clips. I will ONLY take my DS to Great clip's to a certain person.

Now me on the other hand, I haven't had a haircut in almost a year, because my hair dresser ir 3.5 hours away (my parents town/my old town). I went ONCE here in my city and cried for months every morning that I had to look at it. I will also take my DS with me to a military barber when we go visit my parents. When my DD needs a haircut she will go with me to my hairdresser.

The funny thing about my hairdresser is that she drives her (about 30 minutes) from my home to get her haircut.
