I've always paid cash only on Christmas gifts.

Since I HATE shopping, I order most of my gifts online, so credit. Then I'll cash-out some of the vacation I have coming to pay that off.

This year, I might use some prepaid credit cards for this. I have a friend who always does that. She says it's safer when shopping online because if the # gets stolen, someone won't be charging up your regular cards. Sounds good, but the drawback is I won't get the points.

I've been putting money away into my ING account. This week, I'll be transferring it into my checking account and using my debit card for purchases.

I said cash, but I really put it on my credit card so I can earn reward points. However this gets paid off monthly so it's as good as cash in my mind.

Most of our purchases are all ready made. We purchase a lot of things throught the year at resale shops, garage sales and auctions for our kids and family. The only thing the kids get brand new comes from Santa. We typically don't spend much, but they seem to get a lot! This year we are sticking with cash. If we don't have the cash we just can't get it this year.
