Occasional splurges? Security of needing less to survive? Savings for the future? The 'challenge' of getting as much for as little as possible? A combination thereof?

seriously, I don't know. It's just who I am. I HATE paying full price for something. I wheel and deal with the big ticket items, coupon, clearance and craigslist. It's just me! LOL

not that I don't splurge or buy things new/full price. I just always know if I wait, I can get it cheaper. ;-)

I'm frugal because I have to be. Although I do love having bragging rights to how little I spend to care for my family, I really have no choice. We have little income and could never survive on our income if I didn't do what I do. Of course if DH wasn't so stupid with money I could be a little less frugal.

Needing more $$$ to survive. I also enjoy the challenge of seeing what I can get for less and making things myself.

It started out being necessary to survive. Being a young single mom, with three kids, two who had a fatal disease.

Now several years and many debts paid off, it is because I choose to be.

I have seen how much more we can have, if I am frugal and careful with our money.

At this point I don't have a choice. We live paycheck to paycheck. If we had the income I do believe I would still be frugal. It's just not right to be wasteful.
