I did a few lists and charts to get motivated and organized and just thought I'd share what I did:

#1 2007 Money Resolutions (list) - I have things on here like stick to a budget (with amounts specified for groceries etc...) cook from scratch, stop buying toys impulsively (a weakness of mine..) Keep Daily Spending log etc...

#2 2007 Master List (all the things I need to do such as organize garage, clean out hall closet, start Flylady, defrost freezer... this is 1.5 pages of things to do! eeek! )

#3 2007 Daily Spending Log (4 column chart which includes: Date/Purchase/Amount Spent/Comment. This will hopefully open my eyes to those unnecessary purchases and keep me accountable.

#4 Grocery List / Shopping List - This is 2 charts on one page. Top portion is groceries and has 6 columns for the 5 places I buy groceries regularly plus an Other column (Costco/Trader Joe's/Sprouts/Bashas'/Fry's/Other). I have 10 rows

The chart under that is for Shopping. I have 4 Columns: Target/Walmart/Walgreens/Other with 10 rows. This will be my master shopping list so I'm not writing on tiny scraps and losing them in my pockets, bottom of purse/diaper bag etc...

I like fresh starts and am eager to get things back under control after a month of decadence.. .LOL!!! We've been eating and living like Kings this month. <<guilt>>

I will be using these lists/charts in conjunction with Fly Lady to get the house decluttered and get it in ship shape!!!

Kelly, I have something along the same concept! I started using Organizedhome.com awhile ago- just for the lists and hosehold notebook pages. It is really keeping me on top of everything! I really think that planner is the ONLY reason I was SO ont op of things for this Holiday!
I think I am going to add a daily spending log to it, now that you have mentioned that!

1) I have my shopping lists printed off on my computer and just highlight each item when we run out and I'm ready to go shopping day.

2) I have my Flylady control journal up to date. Wash sheets and towels Mondays, Clean bathrooms Tuesdays, vacuum Wednesday, etc.

3) I still need to find a good daily spending log. Any good websites for this? I try and write things down but I haven't found a great system yet other than collecting receipts and putting it in an excel file.

Flylady is a system that helps people get organized and get rid of the clutter in their lives. Here is her site for more information. http://www.flylady.net/ She honestly changed my life but as my mother says, "You use to be organized like a train wreck but that Flylady sure changed things around for you!" It's really only for those people who are seriously disorganized and in need of a lot of help. I was one of these and still depend on her system. It's all free but there are A LOT of e-mails so you may want to set up a separate e-mail account just for her reminders.

I am inspired. I'm tired of being frazzled because of lack of planning. Thanks ladies.
