The only thing I've purchased ALL year (2007:D) is a roll of postage stamps!! Those will last me the rest of the year though !

I'm in for the challenge too!
Naturally, we will need food. We just will not eat -out unless we use one of our gift cards from christmas. No clothes! We got plenty of new clothes at Christmas.

The only other possible needs besides food might be
diapers
wipes
dog food
gas for husbands car

Maybe we can make one or two of those drag out.

I'm wondering about some things that were listed ...

Haircut? Cut your own or at least learn how to trim your own between haircuts.

Pay someone to do taxes? We do our own AND I have my own business. Taxes are hardly complicated anymore and the software is free on the irs.gov website.

NOT buying any clothes in January? Oh my goodness, I purposely don't buy a lot in back-to-school clothes, or for myself during the rest of the year, just so I can hit the deep clearances in January. I've gotten some outrageous deals, especially in kids clothes. The winter jacket that the little one wore this winter was purchased last January for pennies on the dollar. Sometimes the prices for the new stuff on clearance are better than the prices at the thrift stores. I purposely shop with an eye toward spring in hopes I can get just enough to tied the little one over until the end of the school year.

I am definitely in for the challenge. I bought enough at Target this morning to last me just "shopping" for a while.

Of course we need groceries but even then its just bread, milk, and a few perishable items. No toilitries, use up the stockpile, dog food has to be bought all the time. Other than that I'm done.

As far as the taxes go. I have always done my own taxes but this is the first year dh and I have been married, he was discharged from the army, now working as an independent contractor, etc. I'm just not sure I could handle it this year and I really don't want to worry about it. Besides I think OK's state taxes are retarded. Better to give someone else the headache!
