I've done really well ... so far ... it's only the 14th though and I'm starting to hit temptation hard.

I've been feeling really frumpy lately and keep thinking that if I got myself a few new things, I'd feel better about myself. I want new things but I don't need new things. Help!!!!!

This has been my best month so far :rah rah: I think it is because I'm still trying to wade through the Christmas wreckage and find places for everything... I couldn't possibly think of bringing one more thing into the house!

But, I did have McDonald's with a neighbor (and all the kids) last week so that was about $15. {{I tried to make it a park date, but we couldn't fit it in until it was already getting dark, so chose a quickie meal instead... darn}} Then, another $12 for breakfast one morning for a friend {{I surprised a friend by dropping by at 8am with bagels etc..}}.

So, I guess I'm not as good as I thought One more thing... I probably spent $10 on books. So, what is that $37? That's good for me though.

<<<vowing not to spend more this month>>>:happy dance:

OHH! How could I forget to mention this??? I pulled my ds#2 out of preschool, but they were only going to refund half my money! So, I spoke with a manager (nicely) and got a FULL refund of $150 or so. Plus I returned a couple things to Kohl's, Sears and somewhere else and ended up with over $100 back on the credit card. BONUS! It's nice to get money back...this time I won't let it slip away so easily!

I spent $50 for groceries for the next week, not counting diapers. I have a Walmart gift card (xmas gift) that will cover me for diapers and lunch stuff, should I need it, for the next week. I really forced myself to buy the essentials only and kept saying "no you dont need that.. walk away" in the grocery store when I saw a $1 candybar or something.. the $1s add up and I wanted to come home last night spending $50 or less.. so my little sacrifices helped me meet my goal and I felt SO good last night! Other than groceries, DH spent $8 on some manual for a game he got.. though we didn't have to pay a dime for the game b'c he used the gift card he got for xmas from his boss.. :D

I LOVE NOT BEING DOWN TO $2 THREE DAYS BEFORE PAYDAY!! WE HAVE $125 IN THE BANK - SUCH AN AWESOME FEELING!

I have been doing really well, the only thing I have recently bought was a few groceries in order for me to eat a bit healthier- some fruits, cottage cheese and some more vitamins for the little one- about $15.

FlybyGrace- I am like you with having more than a couple dollars before payday! Good job let's keep it up!
