How is everyone doing on their January challenge?

So far so good- after going "crazy" last week, I have since recovered! Let's see so far:
1/7 $20 gas
$1.50 Sunday newspaper (with tons of coupons!)
1/8 $2.82 gallon of milk (my 3 yo dropped a whole gallon of milk- !)

Well, forewarning- my totals for this week will be horrid! I have to stock up on a few groceries and my youngest just went through another growth spurt and only has a few outfits for this season- So at least be forewarned on my posting for tomorrows totals!

I'm doing pretty good.
1/7 $3.00 Sunday newspaper, mt. dew, laffy taffy
1/8 $6.00 Treated myself to Chick Fil A as I'm not spending money and dieting now
1/9 Nothing so far but its only 9:11 am I still have to get gas and I will buy some yarn and bread later. But that should be under $2 for the last two and its out of my budgeting spending money for the week.

1/10 $4.00 Bought Arby's as I left my lunch sitting by the door at home
$18 Had to get dogfood so the puppies wouldn't starve
$190 Because stupid dh had a bill I had to pay grrr

ok. i bought an extra Ninja Turtle (its Raphael) because i got tired of listening to the boys fight over the only one we have at home . so now they each have one and can play together. cost (with tax) $10.56

the rest has just been groceries and gas. i'm driving slow as not to burn all the gas and i'm not making useless trips.

i did have a HUGE temptation to order 2 books from Amazon. but i didn't do it.

I am doing pretty well. Today I bought two sleepers on sale for next winter. I am finding it difficult to find them over the size of 18 -24 months and prefer sleepers over jammies for DS.
I did buy some veggie burgers, buns, mushrooms and potatoes because I was craving burger and fries. I am eating healthier (down 37lbs so far) so running to McDonald's is not an option.
I feel pretty good about it because I have only purchased sensible, sales items. I also turned down a stamping swap from another board because the postage would be over $25.00 and I'm not willing to spend that right now.

I blew this week...We ordered Chinese last night (albeit $20 and I got 3 meals out of it for both DH and I ). Other than that I haven't spent anything more than what I reported last week for food shopping.
Absolutely no 'fun' shopping done though...WOO-HOO....

I spent sooo much money today! I am in shock!

Groceries at Aldi's: $105.18
Few outfits for youngest at Gooodwill: $6.45
Hostess Bread Store: $6.14
Foodland: $65.14
Gas: $29.40

Grand Total: $212.31 Yikes! The reason why it's so high? I had to restock up on quite a few "stock pile" items and so on. One nice thing is that I should only have to get milk for the next 2 weeks!
