So my Target is like 45 minutes away. I usually go about once a month, and today happened to be the day b/c they were having such great mark downs. So we go, and I spend about $100, and I am on my way back. And we are all moving down the highway pretty fast. All of a sudden FIVE state troopers come out of nowhere and pull all five cars over. (I was right in the middle-just keeping up )

WELL. turns out I was going 86 mph in a 65. $215 dollars my friend.

and that was my $300 trip to target.

p.s. dh made fun of me for getting pulled over in a minivan going 86mph....

wow! I'm so sorry this happened to you. They must really be determined to pull over 5 people. I've never heard of something like that happening.

Sorry about that!

My dh had that happen to him and 7 other cars when getting off the exit ramp from the hwy (going down town) luckily his fine was only $75.00. He said they were there for 2 wks every morning. They must have made a ton of money.

I will defend you. I did the same thing when I got my van. the ride was so smooth and quiet I had no idea I was going so fast.

Tell that to the judge. If you act remorseful, hopefully he'll let you off with a warning or reduced fine. Let him know that now that you're getting used to the van, you have a feeling for where you are speed-wise and you are better able to watch your speedometer more closely. Worth a try.
We have the over 20 rule here, too - it's called criminal speed.
