We are actually just going to start to go to the library, so will have to check out what is available. DS is going to story time so we can see what they have in the way of magazines, movies etc.

I am a big user of the libraries in our area. One thing that I don't think was mentioned previously was checking out the computer software sections. I have found the libraries have a ton of kids' titles like Jumpstart, Brainplay, etc.., so that has saved me a ton of money.

We use our library all the time. I do all my browsing on the online catalog and although our local branch is pretty small, I can request books from other branches and they just email me when they arrive (day or two wait). It's awesome.

I'm a magazine addict, so I do subscribe to a lot and I just don't have the patience to wait for them to show up at the library. I do get them really cheaply and I donate them when I'm done at my kids school where the teachers just gobble them up, so I know they're appreciated.

We don't watch a lot of movies, so I've never really looked into that at our library. I know they have an extensive collection. We just use Netflix and it works out really well for us.
