We move quite frequently and moving companies seem to be unconcerned about waste.

So, I always ask for the leftover packaging tape and packing paper and any boxes they will leave. And, when we unpack, I save as much of the paper as I can- usually there are dozens of neatly folded sheets stacked on top as filler.

These are the large off-white sheets and are great for so many things!

We use them for drawing, painting, catching spills under the table for messy play, making paper mache or story books. Also, have kids stamp them and pair with a pretty ribbon for cute handmade wrapping paper.

We make tents out of them by taping a few together (using the tape rolls left of course)

Since we color so much, I use any of the papers that I am not saving for memory books for fillers when mailing packages (again using the free tape)

Empty tape rolls we decorate for jewelry. They are just a bit big for small wrists, but at least won't get stuck. Color them, paint them and add glitter - DD loves her bracelets more than mine since she can wear them everywhere.

I have even started asking neighbors for their unwanted paper so i can supply our Sunday School classes for free. I just can't believe that some people are so unconcerned- our most recent move I wound up finding 6 half empty rolls of tape, hundreds of sheets of new paper, and 6 good size boxes. So, if you a see a moving van- ask for unwanted paper!!
