I have been thinking about switching banks to take advantage of a debit card offered that rounds all purchaes to the next dollar and sends the change to a savings account. I love the thought of only dealing with whole $ amounts in my checkbook and I bet the change could add up fast. I need to do a little research to find out interest rates and the details. But I was wondering if anyone else has access to an account like this. I think it could be a sneaky way to save.

I had one at Bank of America. I signed up b/c of it and then it ended after like a year, I believe.

Bank of America still does it...It is called the "Keep the change ".

I do this on my own though, make your purchase and when you track it in your check book round it to the next dollar (weather it's .99 or .01) It really does add up!

Bank of America Keep the Change. I love BOA, I've used them since I was 15 and they were named something else. I've never paid any banking fees.

I've been with BofA since I for about 10 years and just completed my first year of Keep the Change. I was matched almost $95 dollars so that was a nice surprise before Christmas! The only fees they have is if you go under $100 at anytime, my fee is $3.00 per month but it may vary state to state.

We don't have the fee due to direct deposit into checking, and then our savings acct. is free if we do an auto w/d from checking into savings once a month.

I had one with Bank of America and I didn't particularly care for it. It's been a little while now but it was something to do with the way they took the money out. Like they didn't actually round up each purchase per say but took out the amount that would have been rounded up like once a week. I'm sure someone will have more details if they have it now. If they will match your input I would say its good for that. Other wise I like to do it myself and round up what I want to.
