There are many tips to help you, and encourage you, to save money. But none of them will work for long without a mission statement (or a money-saving map.) This mission statement can include:
~
WHO you are striving to become as a person (frugal, debt-free, responsible...)
~
WHAT you are trying to accomplish (longterm financial goals, pay off debt, buy a house etc..)
~
WHY you are doing it (to survive

, send kids to college, etc..)
~
WHEN you plan to achieve your goals
~
HOW you are going to achieve them, including daily steps you will take
It should be placed in a prominent location where you will see it every single day, morning and night and will not get lost among any other clutter. It could be framed to give it the importance it deserves, and perhaps printed in an attractive, font. Maybe print out a mini-mission statement to keep in the car --- and read it before getting out of your car and entering any store!!!!
It is easy to get sidetracked or lost along our way. It is important to keep our goal of saving money front and center, smack dab in front of our noses every day.
