In our area there are three kids consignment sales in the spring and in the fall. I take my boys outgrown clothes and toys and sell them at the consignment sale. I price my items then take them to the sale (all I have to do is drop them off). If it sells I get to keep 70% of the price I put on it. It's also a great place to purchase items that my boys may need for the upcoming season. The organizers of these sales are very picky about what they will accept, so the clothing is free from stains or holes. I've found plenty of items that were brand new or nearly new. I also sell items that I pick up on clearance racks throughout the year to make a profit for myself. See if your area offers a kids consignment sale.

I recently started working with the local consignment shop. I tried to ebay a few things and yard sale - both were a hassle. The consignment shop only offers 40% but they do all the work. I only drop off the items. I purchased a few things and plan to purchase more. I wish I knew about it before I bought all my baby items.
