Ok ewwww - the cup thing sounds gross to me (no offense to those who love it). I could not give up reg. fem. hyg. products, nice TP, my Broadband connection, or Lysol wipes for the kitchen and bath.
I buy a TON of wipes and paper towels and use them for everything. The cup, I think you guys are talking about something called the Diva Cup--I couldnt do that either, but some love it. I GO ALL OUT FOR MY PERIOD... tampax pearls, baby I just cannot be cheap that time of the month
I've never heard of the cup either!!! I will use the cheaper (or store brand) maxi's for light days or double up of heavier days since my periods don't usually last very long but I couldn't do cheap tampons but luckily there have been many good coupons and deals at Walmart for me to stock up!
One thing that I just could never bring myself to do is wash and reuse ZipLock bags. I can see refilling a baggie of Cherreos (sp) for the diaper bag. Sometimes I make muffins and freeze them and I have thought of putting a new batch in the bag when I empty it, but never would I put raw meat in them or something else, and then wash them out and reuse them for something else. Ick.
Oh this is a great thread! haa. I have never heard of the cups, but that seriously grooses me out! I prefer not to deal with the stupid period at all...but I am a playtex girl for sure. I am SOO jealous of those of you without a period for 5 years!!! I started mine about 3 months after Emily was born! DARN.
Ok, Also agree with cheap TP...no good. I bought the cheapest thing at costco...BIG MISTAKE. We had crappy toilet paper for practically a YEAR. Had to hear DH complain about it FOREVER.
Dude...I am thinking of our bills and this would be a tough choice if you could only have ONE: CELL PHONE or HIGH SPEED INTERNET.....
