Hi! Years ago a friend told me you should never pay more then a dollar for an item with coupons. If you can double or triple its easier to do.Mostly you can only save like this on sale items.Normally every week I get some items for free.Every little bit helps.I normally save 50 percent or more at the grocery store that doubles.I save coupons for my brothers family,my sisters family and for my 3 children and their families. They love using coupons and saving money as well.Arlene

If you don't mind sharing, what's your secret?
I've been using coupons for ages, but it's rare that I get an item free. My local grocery stores will double up to $1 (In other words, a 50-cent coupon doubles to $1; a 55-cent coupon "doubles" to $1). Once in a while there will be a triple coupon promotion.
How do you manage to get items free or nearly free so often?
