Instead of buying cold packs or Warm packs Take a sock and fill it with cook rice (not instant kind ) put a tight knot at the top and you can put it in the freezer and use it as a cold pack or zap it in the microwave and you have a hot pack. The neat thing is you can use it for your elbow just as well as you can use it for your head. Use kid size socks for kid rice socks and adult size socks for adults. Another thing I find neet is that you can dump the rice and bleach the sock if need be.

Thanks

My mom made something similar at home: She baked dry a packet of wheat, after they were cooled she popped it in a rectangular bag and sewed it up. We use them instead of hot water bottles, as they stay hot for longer and dont leak. All we do is warm them up in the microwave for a few minutes.

However I really must try pop it in the freezer to see if it retains the cold. Thanks for the tip
