Keep your receipt. We all buy impulse items and then find it later unused in your home. I make a habit of highlighting the stores return policy if it appears on the receipt or print a copy of it from the stores website. If I do not use the item in the time of the return policy I return it. Even after the policy expires most stores will either return the item for form of purchase or a merchandise credit. If by some chance this is not an option an original receipt and packaging makes reselling the item much easier wether it be by e-bay or in a garage sale. This has cut our impulse buys way down because everyone knows it will go back if we do not use it.
