or eating OUT at lunch!!! For example, tonight, we had fishsticks and mac-n-cheese (with veggies that were all eaten!). After supper, I immediately seperated the mac-n-cheese into containers that will fit into lunch boxes. I then freeze them, and instead of buying the Michealina's for $.89 each, I have them from my leftovers! The kids love that I thaw and warm them in the mornings, and they don't mind eating them at room temp. at lunch! I did the same with the fish sticks, only instead of freezing, I put them in the fridge in seperate baggies of six each (I don't like to RE-freeze things). This gives the kids an alternative to a sandwich...and to buy a school lunch would cost me $2 a child!! With six kids, that is $12 a day!!!
