When I used the Clorox ready mop, I used dishrags instead of the pads, which are expensive as heck. Dishrags are big enough to wrap around and put them in the holes that the pads go in and you can use them and pitch them in the wash. I also refill my Comet bottle with bleach and water for my kitchen or wood cleaner and water for my living room. A bottle of their stuff is $4 and a box of pads are between $5-6.
For my swiffer (which I am using now), I have a spray water bottle filled with bleach and water for the kitchen or wood cleaner and water for my hardwood in living room, I just spray them as I go along. I also use diapers on my swiffer instead of the pads, open them up, and the outside of the diaper sticks on the velcro.
I love those maps but hate the expense of refilling the cleaner and the pads, so this was my way to get around that.
Hope it helps you!!
